Part operatic concert, part art class, part music class, join us as we get a small sampling of some operatic favorites and new (to us!) songs from the classical music world. Audiences will be delighted as they make a drawing inspired by music, and may learn a bit of conducting too! Older groups may even do a pantomimed performance to a famous musical selection!
DISNEY CLASSICS CONCERT
Available Late Spring 2024
Ideal for audiences of all ages.
Part concert, part art class, part make-believe class, join us as we venture through some favorite Disney songs, some sing-a-long songs, do a simple art project, and maybe even act out some of the famous scenes in which the song appears in the movie.
BROADWAY CLASSICS CONCERT
Broadway Classics Concert is a concert-style performance, mostly sung, less interaction, primarily of Broadway classic songs from the Golden Age of Broadway. Ideal for senior groups in 30-90 minute lengths, or for younger children, in 30-60 minute sets. An ever changing rotation of songs, songs upon request (must be at least 1 Week in advance of performance), modern songs upon request, as well as some sing-a-long favorites that everyone knows at least some of the words to! Here is a video from a senior performance. Visit the seniors link above for more samples.
MRS. CLAUS CABARET
Available November 1- December 21
The Mrs. Claus Cabaret is a 30-60 minute cabaret style performance for all audiences, with length and activities customizable to your guests. There is concert-style singing, sing-a-long, dancing, storytelling, a hilarious retelling of the 12 Days of Christmas, and we may even write a silly group letter to Santa! A simple craft can be included at no extra cost: writing letters to Santa, which children and believers of all ages can then deliver to Mrs. Claus's mailbox, which she then personally delivers to Santa. She can also assist with any crafts you may provide (please inform us of said craft at booking time). Meet and Greet photo time can be added to any booking, consider about 2 minutes per booked family (ex: 30 families may need 45-60 minutes, though sometimes it does go quicker).
Please note: Weekend and evening bookings have a strict timeframe, as Mrs. Claus is VERY busy during the holiday season and has lots of children and loved ones to see. Thank you for understanding!
$200 for a 1 hour performance/visit
$175 for an additional hour
Shows are modified based on the primary audience, so be sure to let us know more about your audience before we arrive! The attached is a video from a senior living facility comprised of primarily memory care patients, and was primarily concert-style.
KINDNESS ACTIVITIES
Some Ideas
Magazine Clippings Collage- using old magazines and newspapers, children learning to cut can find images of people and animals being kind, cut them out, and glue them, collage style, onto a piece of paper, or whatever item you wish.
Kindness Rocks- gather large, flatish rocks that the children can paint, perhaps attach googly eyes, and offer to friends, or family, or place in a community garden to remind our friends that we are always with them.
Friendship Rainbows- pre-prepare squares of construction paper in colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple), usually 3-4 colors are what fits on a paper, and glue them in rainbow strips. Draw clouds on each side, attach googly eyes and smiles, so that there is always a rainbow bridge between friends.
